Teddy was a curious little puppy with fur as brown as a piece of chocolate. He lived in a cage in a pet store and dreamed of having his very own home. One day, Teddy’s dreams came true, and he was taken home by a real family. Soon, he realized that he was different from the other pets who lived there, and they ignored him. He felt sad, lonely, and unwanted. But an unexpected event changed Teddy’s life. This book portrays a path toward diversity, inclusion, and respect. Young readers will enjoy this story and learn a life lesson.

It was a crisp autumn day, and Justin's mother had promised him a trip to the library. As they drove along the narrow winding road toward town, Justin drank in the brilliance of the golden afternoon. Fiery leaves glittered as they spun lazily to the earth. The creek seemed to sparkle like a golden topaz as it caught the reflections of autumn. Something dark and speckled suddenly caught Justin's eye. He was certain that the roundish rock lying on the side of the road had not been there before. Was it his imagination, or did it move ever so slightly?

Mientras iban en el coche por un camino sinuoso hacia la ciudad, Justin se paró a apreciar la belleza de ese atardecer dorado. Hojas de tonos cobrizos resplandecÃan como topacios dorados al captar los reflejos de ese otoño. De repente Justin vio algo oscuro y moteado. Estaba seguro de que la roca redonda al lado de la carretera no estaba ahà antes. ¿Era su imaginación o se habÃa movido ligeramente?
